Analysis of Astronomical Images by Dr.Pablo Reig
Operation and characterisation of the CCD and the problems that arise during the acquisition of an image. Superposed on the sky image there are a number of instrumental effects that degrade the quality of the image. Also, the images have to be calibrated if meaningful physical information should be extracted.

Classification of Elliptical Galaxies by Assoc. Prof. Iosif Papadakis
History of extragalactic Astronomy and the basic properties of nearby galaxies as we know them today, and the use of optical CCD Observations of elliptical galaxies in order to classify them.

Globular Clusters and their Ages by Assoc. Prof. Despina Hatzidimitriou
In this video we discuss the globular clusters research until now. We also discuss the techniques used to measure their ages.

Open Clusters by Assist. Prof. Andreas Zezas
We discuss the general properties of open clusters and their main differences from globular clusters, and how we can use multi-band optical observations of open clusters in order to measure their age and obscuration.

Estimating the mass and SFR in galaxies by Assoc. Prof. Vassilis Charmandaris
A tutorial which explains how one can analyze near-IR data from Skinakas to estimate the stellar mass of a galaxy, and how to use Spitzer 24micron data to estimate the rate of star formation rate of a galaxy.
